Hilda I. Hurley
March 3, 1928 - April 14, 2017

Mrs. Hilda I. Starr Smith Hurley, 89, of Seymour passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Seymour.

She was born March 3, 1928 in Honeytown, Indiana, the daughter of the late August Boknecht and Hettie (Lucas) Boknecht.

Hilda graduated in 1946 from Cortland H.S. and was a retired artist and beautician. She was a member of Honeytown Christian Church.

She married Clarence Trett, Woodrow Starr, William Smith and Bud Hurley who all preceded her in death.

She is survived by her Son, Steven D. ( Linda ) Starr; Daughter -in- law Donna Starr; 2 step-daughters, Pixie (Jerry) Otte, Carol Ann Guiles; 6 grandchildren, Judy (Jeff) Vance, John (Stephanie) Starr, Jodi Graham, Peggy (Jeff) Brewer , Penny (Mike) Jones, and Crystal (Chris) Bryant; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 4 step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herbert Boknecht, Hubert Boknecht, 2 sisters, Edna Hillenburg, Hazel Straub, and a son, James M. Starr, and her husbands.

Funeral service will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:00 am with Reverend Dennis Williams officiating with burial at Riverview cemetery.

Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Monday, April 17th, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday after 9:00 am until time of the service.
