76, of Glenview, Illinois, died peacefully on April 17, 2017. Ms. Waechter was born in Indianapolis on August 13, 1940 to the late Mr. James W. and Miriam Conkle. She was a 1961 graduate of Indiana University where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She enjoyed dance, theater and all other performing arts during her life. She was a member of North United Methodist Church before moving to the Chicago area and living in Glenview, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago). Survivors include her brother James B. Conkle, 2 sons John Waechter (Donna) and James Waechter (Jackie); a daughter Julie Waechter (Bobby); 4 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Private family services will be held and interment was at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Arrangements are entrusted to Leppert Morturary Nora Chapel.
