"I started working with Mike in the early nineties and helped him develop some of his first automated production equipment. I was always amazed at his ability to see thru a mechanical problem and come up with a solution. Over the years our relationship deepened and we had many great conversations. My condolences to his family. Travel with Peace my Brother. Bill Record "

"What a great loss for the community, and in fact our culture! Michael was an extremely unusual man with truly unique traits and admirable capabilities. His outstanding values and priorities were demonstrated in all his actions and anyone who met him immediately recognized a deep understanding of the world. Those who knew him understood his broad knowledge and his genuine concern for preservation of our heritage. He had an unusual ability to sort facts out of misinformation and put them to creative use. It is very, very sad to lose a person with such a rare mind and to see such a meaningful life come to an end on Earth."

"I will always remember the grand tour that Michael graciously offered my family on Christmas Eve Day 2011. He knew we were interested in the local history of the old Dewitt's Mill so walked us around the points of historical interest on his property. (My sons loved his old cars!) He was knowledgeable and entertaining. His death is a loss not only to his family but to the entire community. We will miss him. "

"Mine was a busines relationship with Mike, but it developed into something more. In the years that we knew each other, I grew to appreciate his quick wit and ability to laugh. Many times, our meetings became less about business and more like talks between friends. My sincerest condolences to Arrika, Joe, Hillarie, Karina, and Kristina."
