"Many fond memories of George on his visits to Appleton, working on corporate pension plans, golfing, dining, and visiting about his "early days" in Appleton. A great friend, and we extend our condolences to his family. Bob & Arlys Verdoorn"

"We will always remember what a kind and fun person he was. It was an honor to meet he & Carole & to have enjoyed the "special lunch" at the Brazilian steakhouse they so enjoyed! He will be missed at Kiwanis and by many. So sorry that we won't be back by Saturday to attend the Celebration of Life. God bless & God rest his soul. Frank (Mr. B.) & Bev Bertoni"

Stan Brown wrote on Apr 22, 2017:

"A lot of George's former colleagues will use the phrase larger than life to describe him. 100% true! Even after retirement, he always found time to stop in the office and chat. Making his way around the building to see how we were doing. Full of enthusiasm just as he was while still working. Proud of his daughters and grand kids. You will be missed by all. God bless."

Jeff Rasley wrote on Apr 21, 2017:

"George became a friend through Scientech Club. He was a fine person and a pillar in the Club. His programs on magic were delightful. What I enjoyed most about George was his clever sense of humor. I'll miss seeing him at our Monday lunch meetings. Jeff Rasley"
