"I just now found out that George has passed. He was a wonderful fellow that I met while at Garfield High School. We were very close and kept in touch when he went to Vietnam. After he returned, he wasn't the same and we lost touch. But I stilI treasure the letters he wrote me back then. Oh, and he was such a great dancer! We used to meet and go out dancing all the time. His mother and sister were very dear to me, too. George was a rare person and I'll always remember him fondly. So sad that he passed away at such a young age. --Mary Moss-Sprague, Oregon"
