Lottie Idella Clark, 73, of Keokuk, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at St. Vincent's Home in Quincy.
Lottie was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on July 22, 1943, the daughter of Frank and Lottie Logan Haywood. On December 29, 1983, she was united in marriage to Elmer E. Clark in Keokuk. He survives.
A long-time resident of Keokuk, Lottie was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and was employed in production at Shellor-Globe in addition to cleaning houses. Lottie enjoyed listening to gospel music and cooking, but what she loved most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Lottie is survived by her husband Elmer of Keokuk; her sons: James (Lisa) Scott of Kahoka, Missouri; and Travis (Delesia) Clark of Hamilton, Illinois; her daughters: Connie Weathers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Jenny (Johnnie) Williams of Beebe, Arkansas; her step-children: Lenny (Beatrice) Clark of Hannibal, Missouri; and Antoinette (Travis) Troy of Huston, Texas; her brother Raymond Haywood of Hot Springs, Arkansas; her sisters: Fannie Hill of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Marquerite McClinton of Boston, Massachusetts. Other survivors include sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and two special friends: Johnna Lambert and Norma Jean Bradley.
Lottie is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Twelve (NOON) on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at First Christian Church in Keokuk, with Pastor J.T. Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Keokuk National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday after 3 PM with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 PM at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers at 917 Blondeau Street.
Memorials may be directed to Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Keokuk.

"Della was the best friend that I could of ever had.We became close friends when I came back to Pilgrim Rest 7 years. I visited Della every day and talked to her everyday. I loved hearing her southren draw of her voice and seeing her bright smile. She was never to busy to share her opinion on what she thought. She never came to answer the door she just howled"Come on in girl" . That was my Della, plain,and simple. She always had something cooking and wanted to share a meal and visit at her kitchen table.She was my buddy RIP....MY DEAR FRIEND."
"My favorite memory of sister Della as I have always known her as was the first time I ever saw her in person. I started going to Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church three years ago and I always heard them ask to keep her in our prayers and would hear updates on her but I had never met her at that time until she was able to come back after her surgery. It was such a wonderful day and a blessing to see her able to come back and be with us. I always loved seeing her smile and laugh and sing. It was very inspiring to see how happy and strong and faithful she was even through all she was going through. I am also very thankful I was able to join our church family in going down to visit her a few weeks ago and see her one more time. My heart goes out to Brother Elmer and their family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and my prayers. God bless you all! "
