Elaine Mae Edwards, 79, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Thursday morning, April 27, 2017, at the Crestridge Nursing Home in Maquoketa, Iowa.
A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 3 to 7 P.M. at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at the Streets Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa.
Elaine Mae Fuller was born on September 15, 1937 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Ernest and Zana (Brady) Fuller. She was a graduate of Maquoketa High School. She married Dale Robert Edwards on March 16, 1957 in Minnesota.
Elaine farmed with her husband, and was active in the area farmer's markets for 27 years. She was a member of the Friends of Emeline and enjoyed craft shows, quilting, sewing, and had helped her daughter at her bridal shop for 13 years. She also loved to socialize at McDonald's with her friends.
Those left to honor Elaine's memory include her daughter, Janice (Ed) Dunne of Baldwin, IA; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, and a grandson Marshall.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, an Elaine M. Edwards memorial fund has been established.
