Tributes

Deb and Angela Johnson wrote on May 4, 2017:

"John was first our neighbor then turned into a very good friend. John was always there to lend a helping hand. Anyone who had John in their life was truly blessed, he will be missed. When our grandson/nephew was learning to talk 18 years ago, he called John "boy" which then turned into "Johnny Boy" and to this day our family still called him Johnny Boy. John was a walking book of knowledge, we always learned something from him. John will never be forgotten, your special memories will live forever in your hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Deb and Angela Johnson"

"My sympathy to John's family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have many fond memories of John. We grew up together from our birthdays being one day apart to school together every day to Sunday School together, church camps but my favorite memory is of our Senior Class trip to Chicago. Many of us piling into his room when we were not suppose to be in the boy's rooms and just having fun to running around the hotel just to see if we could get caught. We all thought we were big stuff in a huge hotel in downtown Chicago."
