Rendy I. Capelle, 40, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

A celebration of Rendy's life will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, May 13, 2017, from the Maquoketa Island Church (Faith Community Church) in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the church. Burial will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Rendy Ipraim Capelle was born on May 13, 1976 in Pingelap, Micronesia to Ipraim and Nora (Charley) Capelle. He attended the Pingelap Elementary School, Pohnpei Island Central High School, and later the Hawaii Job Corps. He married Yulihner Ioanis on September 30, 2006 in Maquoketa, Iowa.

Rendy had worked as a forklift operator at Family Dollar in Maquoketa for over ten years. He was a member of the Maquoketa Island Church and enjoyed visiting family and friends.

Those left to honor Rendy's memory include his wife Yulihner Capelle of Maquoketa, IA; a daughter Miora Renselihna Capelle of Maquoketa, IA; his father Ipraim Capelle of PNI; siblings, Rosalihna (Sosiro) Isaac of Maquoketa, IA, Clanry (Marlinda) Capelle of PNI, Enselihna (John) Ezekiel of PNI and Dexter (Etrihse) Capelle of Andrew, IA. He was preceded in death by his mother Nora Capelle.
