Thomas Guy Collins
November 30, 1948 - April 30, 2017

Mr. Thomas Guy Collins, 68, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 12:15 am at the Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born in Pennington GAP, Virginia on November 30, 1948, the late step-son of Orville and Ada (Collins) Spence.

He married Marcia Lynn Price on May 1, 1971 at the Medora Christian Church. He retired from Seymour Tubing after 25 years of service.

Thomas loved racing RC cars, gardens and flowers, and cross stitching. He loved going on country cruise drives. He enjoyed his grandchildren and loved eating with his family at Cracker Barrel.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, LaWanda (Bradley) Tidd; son, Beary Collins; brother, William Spence; sister, Elizabeth Spence; grandchildren, Briar (Hannah Jenkins), Maggie (Cole Garriott) and Maeleigh Tidd, and Lucas, Jazmin, and Halie Collins; great-grandchildren, Zyan Faye and Nolan Thomas Eugene Tidd; and many family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Gale Spence.

A memorial service will be conducted by Voss Funeral Service at Voss Chapel in Seymour on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 7:00 pm, with Reverend Brien Stout, officiating.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from after 4 p.m. until time of service. A flag presentation and TAPS will be at 7 p.m.
Family asks that memorials be made to the local Jackson County Veterans Office, through the Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
