Lillian L. Lund
July 17, 1924 - April 30, 2017

Lillian L. Lund, 92, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Lillian Gardiner in Kennebunk, Maine July 17, 1924, she graduated as a member of Portsmouth High School Class of 1941. Following graduation, she worked for several years at Clear-Weave in Portsmouth.
A consummate homemaker upon becoming a wife and mother, she enjoyed nothing more than the companionship of close family and friends and was known among them for her delicious desserts. Lillian and her husband, Ivan, spent 30 years as "snowbirds," migrating between their homes in Englewood, Florida and Beddington, Maine. She especially appreciated the summer serenity and peacefulness of the lakefront "cabin in the woods" her husband built for her.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane, and her husband William Carter of York, Maine, grandson, Christopher Lund of New Orleans, Louisiana, two sisters-in-law, Pauline and Yvonne Lund of Portsmouth, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leon and Josephine Gardiner, her husband of 71 years, Ivan R. Lund, son, Robert Lund, brother, Clifford Gardiner, and sister, Anita Kent.
