Mary Louise Freeman
March 1, 1935 - May 5, 2017

Mrs. Mary Louise Freeman, 82 of Seymour, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at 6:25 a.m. at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, Indiana.

She was born in Sparksville, Indiana on March 1, 1935, the daughter of Maurice and Doris (Thompson) Brooks.

Mary was married to Willard Ray Freeman for 63 wonderful years as they were married in Medora, at the Lutheran Church on April 17, 1954.

She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Seymour. Mary retired after working for Dr. Lashorne, Dr. Downing and Dr. Frische as an optician for many years.
She was a wonderful housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing euchre, knitting and crocheting to relax.

Mary is survived by her husband Ray, children; sons, Roland (Carol) Freeman, Randy (Lisa) Freeman, and daughters, Tonja (David) Blish and Marlene (Don) Ruwe, 9 grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service will be conducted by Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 11:00 am with Reverend Andrew Currao and Reverend Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss & Sons Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm and Redeemer Lutheran Church on Tuesday, May 9, from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Memorial checks may be written to the Redeemer Lutheran Church or Relay for Life Cancer Research.
