Marty Jansen
September 3, 1961 - May 10, 2017

Marty Jansen, 55, of Blairsburg, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will be at First Presbyterian Cemetery east of Kamrar. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, at the church.

Marty Lynn Jansen, the son of Melvin and Donna Maatsch Jansen was born September 3, 1961 in Webster City. He graduated from Northeast Hamilton in 1979 and from the DMACC diesel mechanics program in 1981. Over the years Marty worked for Weisberg Construction, Case-IC and Electrolux. He also farmed with his father and continued farming until his death.

Marty is survived by his mother, Donna of Blairsburg; brother, Delmar Jansen of Webster City; sisters, Debra (Dennis) Muchmore of Houston, TX, Marjorie Cuthrell of Holstein; nieces, Kendall Jansen, Amanda and Samantha Muchmore and nephew, Colin Cuthrell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Jansen on December 16, 2003; grandparents, Art and Martha Maatssch, and Jerry and Harriet Jansen.

Marty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Past President of Kamrar Lions Club, the Morning Coffee Group at the Boondocks, Afternoon Coffee Group at the Flying J and a member of Farm Bureau.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in Marty's memory to Trinity Lutheran Church.
