Kenneth Pope, 61, of Glenwood, IA, passed away May 10, 2017 at the Glen Haven Home in Glenwood.

Celebration of Life Gathering - 4:30 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Pacific Junction Park in Pacific Junction, Iowa.

Memorials directed to the family.

Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood assisted the family with arrangements.


Kenneth Merle Pope was born on November 30, 1955 in San Diego County, California, the son of Shirley Wiese and Amasa Franklin Pope.

Kenneth broke horses as a young boy. He worked at Nebraska Beef and IBP. Kenneth enjoyed cooking and watching movies.

Kenneth had two children with his wife Lori, son Chad and daughter Jennie.

Kenneth passed away on May 10, 2017 at the Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, Iowa at the age of 61 years. He was preceded in death by his father Amasa Pope; mother Shirley (Wiese) Hardisty; and sisters, Connie Christensen and Sheryl (Hardisty) Fry.

Kenneth is survived by his son Chad A. Engel; daughter Jennie Weber and husband Christian; grandchildren, Justin R. Engel, Brice A. Grossman, Jace H. Jerome and Summer R. Jerome; siblings, Butch (Melissa) Pope, Sally Pope, Tammy (Robert) Keithlley, Tawny (Adam) Grote, Vicki (Steve) Schueman, Shelly Hardisty, Shari Hardisty, Ronald Hardisty and Michael Hardisty; and other relatives and friends.
