JOE GALLEGOS
SAN ANGELO ~ Joe Gallegos of Carlsbad, Texas left this world on May 9th, 2017 after fighting cancer for several months. He grew up in Bent, New Mexico and attended school in Ruidoso, New Mexico. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps then had a long career driving trucks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lisa Gallegos of Bent, New Mexico.
Joe leaves behind his wife, Vera Gallegos of the home; his daughter, Leslie Baca and her four children of Los Lunas, NM; his son, Joseph Gallegos and wife Denise and their daughter all of Los Lunas, NM; two sisters, Lisa Gallegos of Los Lunas, NM and Kathy Austin and her husband Keith of Las Cruces, NM; his extended family from Carlsbad, Texas; sons, Larry Mitcham and his son, Patrick Mitcham and his wife Brittany and their two children, nephew, Jim Chadwick III and wife Elizabeth and their two children.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date in New Mexico. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek.
