Mason W. Craig
April 13, 1993 - May 9, 2017

Mason "Mase" William Craig, born April 13, 1993, passed away May 9, 2017. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Dottie Craig (Indpls.); sister, Jillian (Indpls.); paternal grandmother, Georgie Craig (Charlotte, NC), aunt and uncle Nancy (Craig) and David Blough (Charlotte, NC); and cousins, Callan (Blough) Bahr (Atlanta, GA) and Logan Blough (Charlotte, NC). He is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, William "Bill" Craig, maternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Mason; aunt, Becky Mason, and longtime companion, Lexi Fite (Anderson).
Mase was a friend to all he met, kindhearted and free-spirited. He was a voracious reader, enjoying everything from anime to science and fantasy. He was quite the cook, never hesitating to try new combinations of foods and spices. Mase had an infectious laugh, smile, and twinkle in his eye. He loved much and was much loved, and will be forever missed.
Mase most recently worked for a dog day care. He loved all kinds of animals, but had a soft spot for dogs.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 13th and conclude at time of services at 2:00 pm at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel. Interment follows at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Humane Society of Indianapolis in Mason's name. Online condolences at: www.leppertmortuary.com

"Went to grade school with Mason at St. Lawrence. I wasnt a morning person but every day i would walk into class and see Mason he would always put a smile on my face. It is what he did best making peope laugh and put smiles on faces. Such a great, smart guy with a huge heart. I wish i did a better job keeping in touch but i guess i can do that through prayer now. Much love goes out to the Craig family. -Thomas Harris"

"Our hearts are just aching for Tom, Dottie, Jillian & your family. Mason had such a great smile and beautiful eyes, it was hard to not notice him. Even as a baby, Tom brought him in to the bank for me to meet. Baby Mason looked at Tom and "Daddy" just melted. It was the twinkling in his eyes and the cutest little smile that got everyone's attention, both then and now. Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time."

"Tom, Dottie, Jillian, Georgie and family, you are all in my heart and prayers. I most remember Mason's beautiful smile, which he flashed every time I spoke to him. I also remember how quickly he shot from boy to man, thinking to myself, "How did that happen!?" I hope memories of his loveliness will bring you comfort in the days ahead. Love, Katie"
