Sue Nehring
July 3, 1936 - May 14, 2017

Sue Nehring, age 80, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on July 3, 1936, to the late Richard and Dorothea (Strandt) Koch. Sue graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School and then went on to graduate with an education degree from Concordia College in River Forest, IL. She married Charles "Chuck" Nehring on July 18, 1959, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano, WI. Sue worked in the circulation department in the library at St. Norbert College for 28 years until her retirement in 2006.

Sue is survived by her husband, Chuck; children, Bryan (Jennifer) Nehring, Stephanie (Thore) Vangen, Scott Nehring; granddaughters, Chelsea (Marc) Opicka and Marissa Nehring; sister, Doreen McElhanon; and nieces and nephews.

Sue is preceded in death by her brother, Richard (Charlotte) Koch; and brother-in-law, Harvey McElhanon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 S. Oneida St., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Paul Pett will be officiating. A dinner will be served at the church following the service. After which, the burial will take place in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau, WI. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund has been established in Sue's name.
