"As a current Department of Revenue employee who joined the Madison Equalization District office in 2007, I was trained, in part, by Lee. To this day, I occasionally come across some of his work in historical files and am reminded how diligent he was in his work. Lee Edward Buske, age 71, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Sunday, May 7, 2017. He was born in Watertown on October 27, 1945 to Arthur and Lorraine (Sydow) Buske.
Lee graduated from Watertown High School in 1963 and served in the Army in Germany. He then later received an AA degree from MATC. Lee was a resident of Sun Prairie, since 1971 and worked for the Department of Revenue for 35 years retiring in 2009. Lee had a passion for helping others and gave his time and energy to many organizations including the Exchange Club of Sun Prairie. Lee enjoyed involvement with community service, traveling and enjoying life to the fullest.
Lee is survived by his brother Arthur, sisters. Gretchen Bruins and Christine ( Robert) Eckert. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
