"Although I have lost touch with Kim the past few years I have thought of her many times. Her strength and kindness will always be remembered. She was always on the other end of the line when I called with an SOS. I enjoyed our times together away from the office. I admired the way Kim found a positive in most negative times. I am so sorry for your loss. Your family is in my prayers."

Debbie Riggan wrote on Jun 2, 2017:

"My condolences go out to Kim's family. My you have the strength to get through this difficult. Her loss will be felt by many. She was a kind, caring, hardworking, honest person who loved her family. I truly enjoyed working with her at the NCESD. "

"Kim had a way of looking at something that was very grim and depressing and turning it into something hilarious. Her strong faith in God was such an inspiration to me and boy, I will miss her dry humor, bright outlook on life and exuberant laugh...the sun must be shining even brighter in Heaven right now! "

"Big Sis, I love you, so very much. You were my little "Big Sis" and I was your younger, although bigger "Lil Bro", most of the time it was "You Little BRAT". You were a great, no excellent, mother, daughter, sister, wife and a go to person for a lot of people. You took our little bro into your home when he needed you, as you did and would do it for anyone. I will miss our conversations, text and advise. You got the braces, a collage fund, highest paid student in DECA and graduated early, then went back to collage to better yourself later in life. RIP BIG SIS. No more pain!!! You are and were a World Championship Fighter and a inspiration to all that have to fight Cancer. Tell Mom and Dad I LOVE THEM! Your in a better place now. Prayers to all the immediate and extended family. Hope all my punctuation is correct, it only took us 2 hours to write what was said at our fathers funeral. "
