Margaret Nisbit
May 20, 1923 - May 31, 2017

Margaret S. Nisbit, 94, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Rushford, MN.
Margaret was born May 20, 1923 to Theodore and Olive (McCready) Thorbjornson in Saratoga Township. She married Wilbur R. Nisbit on November 26, 1941. Together they had two children, Wayne and Sharon. Margaret was an exceptionally hard working woman, raising two children and working on the farm. She enjoyed raising baby pigs at the farm and stayed there for 50 years before moving to St. Charles in 1991. After moving to town, she loved to bake, stitch quilts for family and friends and she loved to crochet afghans for the church raffle each fall.
She is survived by her son, Wayne (Debra) Nisbit; daughter, Sharon (Dan) Littlefield; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Viona Nisbit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Nisbit.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service, St. Charles, MN with Rev. Tim Gerarden. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, from 12-2pm at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service, St. Charles, MN. Reception will follow services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fremont Scotch Cemetery, Fremont, MN.
