In loving memory of

Patricia Ann Holm
March 17, 1971 - June 5, 2017

Patricia Ann Holm
Patricia "Patty" Ann Holm, 46, died with faith and courage in her home at Lewiston, MN surrounded by family on Monday, June 5th, 2017.
Patty was born March 17, 1971 in Rochester, MN, the daughter of Roland and Edith (Mueller) Holm, who courageously brought her home to live her life with God's plans.
Early on, Patty did whatever the rest of the family did and she kept up with amazing expectations. She was enrolled and graduated from Lewiston-Altura High School in 1992. Soon after graduation, it was her time to leave the "nest" just like all the other siblings. She moved to Winona, MN in a group home managed by Home Community Options and worked at various locations through her only employer--Occupational Resource Center (ORC). She celebrated 25 years with ORC and officially retired soon after that. She spent a short amount of time at Saint Anne of Winona and then looked forward to life in Lewiston. Even though Patty was born with Down Syndrome she did not allow the disability to define the life she would live. She was actively involved in many hobbies and activities--swimming, bowling, traveling, Special Olympics, and more. She had a T-Shirt that summed up her life--"Label Jars Not People".
Patty's life was truly a gift to her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. She touched many lives with her smile, beautiful blue eyes, unbelievable courage, and unconditional love.
Patty will be greatly missed by her parents; siblings, Colleen Holm, Annette Holm, Monica (Wes) Drake, Gene (Lisa) Holm, Sharon (Tom) Bottensek, Brenda (Dave) Cinotto; her multiple cousins; beloved nieces and nephews; friends from ORC and HCO; and the countless other people that are too many to mention here. She joins her brother, Dean Michael Holm, who passed away in 1983, for eternal life.
Please join the Holm family in a celebration of Patty's inspirational and courageous life at 11:00am on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Saint Charles Borremeo Church. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, June 7 at the Church and one hour prior to mass on Thursday.
We could not have loved you more. We love you and miss you!
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Please share a memory of Patty and view her video when it becomes available at www.hofffuneralhome.com
Hoff Funeral Home of Saint Charles, MN is assisting the family with arrangements.

"Patty Ann Holm, I was very lucky to have you as my student and friend from the fall of '81 to your graduation. How did I get so blessed? I got to experience your laugh, smile and unique personality for all those years. We had tons of fun in physical education, and you rocked it in all our dance units. I grew as a teacher and person during those years as you developed from a delightful girl into a lovely woman. I think you and your family taught me more than I did you. :-) You will be deeply missed. Look over your family and friends as they adjust to life with you being their angel in heaven. Patty, you will be in our hearts forever. Love, Ann Stokke (A.K.A. Miss Greenslit) "

"Miss Patty Cakes! I will miss those fishy lips and misc. faces she would make. She always knew how to make us smile! Let's not forget how she would get all giddy when there was a good looking guy for her to look at. She did not have a care in the world and she would proudly proclaim that he was "HOT". Rest in peace Miss Patty Cakes! Keep everyone in line up there!- Jackie Stevens, Winona ORC"

"My Dearest Patty, You left me way too soon and I can't find the words to express the pain I feel. My heart is broken never to be whole again. All I have left are the warm memories we shared together over the short 46 years you lived. I remember as a small child how you liked to lay next to me and feel my touch. Now I can't touch you anymore. My heart is broken never to be whole again. I always kissed you goodbye and told you I loved you. Now I can't kiss you goodbye anymore. My heart is broken never to be whole again. My lasting memory of you will be when John came to visit shortly before your death. He stood by your bed and sang: "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away. My heart is broken, never to be whole again. Thank you for being my sister....my friend. I love you. Annie "

"You are all in our thoughts, hearts and prayers during this very difficult time! I was not blessed to have met Patty but I feel like I know her so well. Sharon shared so many wonderful stories of the adventures she had with her wonderful Patty. Sharon's face would just light up when she talked about Patty and how much Patty meant to her! I will always remember the story of the two of them waiting to get into the Price Is Right! A trip to be remembered for sure! And when Sharon shared with me the nicknames they have for each other. Just so special! Fat Pat Cat is now watching over her Princess! Sending our love to you all! Jon, Anne and Charlie Walton "
