Paul N. McGinty, 81, of South Sioux City, NE passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, NE.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Sioux City. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Paul was born on June 29, 1935 in Sioux City, IA, the son of Joseph and Florence (Naughton) McGinty. He attended South Sioux City High School. He worked at Farmers Lumber Company before working at Wilson Trailer from 1957 until his retirement in 1999. Paul was blessed with five children.
He liked telling stories about his Irish roots, tinkering in his garage and driving his tractor. He could fix and build anything.
Survivors include his children, Sandra (Charles) Clayton, Matthew (Janice) McGinty, Mark (Charisa) McGinty, Suzi Meilleur and Mandy (Bobby) Rogers; grandchildren, Kalie, Courtney and Markie McGinty, Luke McGinty, Bryce Meilleur, Randy and Rodney Rogers; great-grandchildren, Ivory, Rilee, Dusty Dawn, Leland, Preslee and Rosie; a sister, Mary Jane Graves; sister-in-law, Dorothy McGinty; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Florence McGinty; grandson, Dusty "Skinny"; brothers, Jerry, Mike, Patrick and Joseph; brother-in-law, Norman Graves; and sister-in-law, Josephine McGinty.
