Clifford Herring, Jr. was born March 31, 1930 to Clifford Herring, Sr. and Maggie Maddox Herring. Clifford was the oldest son of fifteen (15) children. He attended Coweta County Schools.
Clifford married Eula B. Redwine, July 29, 1952, and to this union four children were born; Jeffery Hilton, Maverick, Vickie Renea, and Maria Lynn.
Clifford served his country in the United States Army as a Gun Operator in Germany. He received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Corporal and was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Clifford worked for Coca Cola Bottling Co., Lockheed-Martin, was a driver for North American Van-Lines, and American Can Company (James-River) where he retired.
Clifford is preceded in death by his wife, Eula B. and his children; Maria and Maverick, brother; Donald Herring, sisters; Lenora (Bernice) Bailey, Mildred Brown, Helen Vaughn, and Lorena Brown, and stepsister; Elizabeth Herring.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son and one daughter; Jeffery (Desiree) Herring-Augusta, GA, Vickie Herring-Newnan, GA, seven brothers; R. H. (Maria) Herring-Salina, CA, Fleming Herring, Jimmie (Linda) Herring-Newnan, GA, Charles (Evelyn) Herring-Carrollton, GA, Alfred (Nancy) Herring-Savannah, GA, James Franklin (Eva) Herring-Brunswick, GA, Willie Melvin Herring-Jacksonville, FL, two sisters; Annie Ruth (Lonzer) Boozer-Lithonia, GA, Patricia Stargell-Palmetto, GA, six grandchildren; Nicholas Juwan (Tiffany) Herring, Gabriel Lene' Geter, Chloe Greshawnna Herring, Tyrian Juwan Herring, Cayden Jamir Herring, and Kennadi Maria-Jarae Cruver, seven great grandchildren; Noah Isaiah Herring, Elijah David Herring, Caleb Jeremiah Herring, Sanniah Gabrielle Jackson, Leylah Marie Baker, Drew Naevar Arnold, Toria Renee' Herring, a very special niece; Loretta Stinson, and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
