Dennis "Dino" Dean Cody, age 66, passed away in his home in Platteville, Colorado on Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was born on April 10, 1951 in Kingman, Arizona to Edwin and Janie Cody.
Dino worked hard his whole life spending many years as an industrial maintenance engineer, working to keep machines functioning in sugar and sand plants. At the start of his golden years, he got a terminal diagnosis due to severe damage to his lungs. Dino chose to be home and spend time with his much loved family, unfortunately after coming home he was too sick to do any of the things he wanted to do before he died.
Dino was an avid fisherman, replica car collector, fan of the Titantic and motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed camping, taking his grand kids and wife fishing. In his younger days he enjoyed performing in western gunfight shows.
He is survived by his wife Judi Cody, daughter Holly (Karl) Glasgow, son Stuart (Tiffani) Wood, son James Cody; grandchildren Alyssa (Stephen) Brever, Morgan Wood, Katrina and Karl Glasgow; great granddaughter Kinzley; sister Lisa (Bob Jarvis) Cody Strong Schick; his brother Durwin Cody; as well as many step-brothers, step-sisters, nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his grandson James Glasgow, his brothers Eddie Cody, Harlan Cody and his parents.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 4th at 2:00 pm at the home of Holly & Karl Glasgow, 11599 Wilson Circle, Parker, CO 80134. Please join us to share stories, pictures and how Dino touched all of your hearts.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to help cover medical and cremation costs. A Go Fund Me account has be made in his name.
