David E. Foutz
August 1, 1947 - June 11, 2017

David Foutz, 69, Muncie, passed away Sunday morning, June 11, 2017, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 1, 1947, in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Robert and Juanita (Evans) Foutz. David worked as a machinist at Borg Warner for thirty years and retired in March of 2009. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed anything about cars, car shows, hot rods, NASCAR, and especially driving his Model A Coupe. He was a member of the Twisted Wrenches Car Club and Freedom Point Apostolic Church. Mr. Foutz proudly served his country in the U S Army.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Norris) Foutz; three sons, Dwight (fiancé Christy Highsmith) Foutz, Terry (wife April) Foutz, and Jerry (wife Barbara) Foutz; brother, Richard (wife Diane) Foutz; eight grandchildren, Veronica, Margret, Neryssa, Hannah, Kelton, Emily, Marlana, and Kaydan and his special canine friend, "Jackson".
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Robert and Juanita Foutz and a granddaughter, Breanna Dick (Foutz).
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Freedom Point Apostolic Church, 6460 E. Jackson Street, Muncie, Indiana 47303 with Pastor Matthew Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park with Military Rites by Delaware County Honor Guard.
Family and friends may call at church from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, or after 10:00 a.m., Thursday.
In honor of David, the family has asked that you feel at liberty to wear your favorite car show t-shirt and drive your hot-rod.
Elm Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

"Hi,This is George Lance . We were in Magic City Rod Club together . I remember Sandra and the three little boys riding in old coupe . It so hot outside every body in the coupe was so red face. But you loved every minute of it . I talk to Dave at every car show. He will be missed by me and my family. GOD BLESS"
