David Schultz, 77, of St. Charles died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at his home in hospice care.
Dave was born July 28, 1939 in Winona to Roger and Lydia (Hertzfeld) Schultz. He attended St. Charles Schools, before enlisting in the United States Army, serving in Germany for three years. Following his discharge from the service Dave worked as a carpenter in the St. Charles area until his retirement. He had enjoyed gardening and canning, as well as watching old western shows and movies.
Survivors include a daughter Heather Schnell, five grandchildren, two brothers, Richard (Lorraine) Schultz and Ron (Pat) Schultz both of Utica and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters Audrey Swenson and Nancy Schultz and two brothers, Jack and Don.
Services to celebrate Dave's life will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles, led by funeral celebrant Jenny Hoff. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston.
