Carolyn S. Gray
November 24, 1933 - June 15, 2017

Carolyn S. Gray, 83, passed away Thursday morning, June 15, 2017, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Muncie, Indiana, November 24, 1933, the daughter of Carl and Hazel (Dotson) Greenwalt.
Carolyn attended Muncie schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School.
She spent her career in retail management, having worked for Ball Stores, which later became known as Elder-Beerman and Carson's. Carolyn retired in September, 2015 after thirty-five years of dedicated service.
She enjoyed going to Hoosier Park, reading, and was an avid dog lover.
She is survived by her daughters: Pam (Larry) Reason, Kathy (Larry) Herald, and Barbara (Ben) Hurst; grandchildren, Corey Reason, Stephanie (Kevin) Wilkerson, and Matthew Hurst; great-grandchildren, Spencer Weathers and Zachary Coopman; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and beloved pets, Koby and Jay Jay.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Zane Gray; sister, Donna Younce and beloved pet, Sammy.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Steve Dugger officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m.
