Jeffery Wayne Jannings
December 31, 1959 - June 18, 2017

Jeffery Wayne Jannings, 57, of Walcott, died from complications of a sudden heart attack on Sunday, June 18, 2017 in Genesis East Hospital, Davenport. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:00 am, Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Fry's. Jeff was cremated following the service and burial of his cremated remains will be held on Friday, August 4th at 6:00 pm in the Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Jeffery was born on December 31, 1959 in Davenport and was the son of Richard and Bernice Kelly Jannings. He graduated from Davenport Central in 1978 and Scott Community College. On March 10, 1990 Jeff was united in marriage to Deborah Jane Bohr in Tipton. Their lives were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Kelly Jo, who is the image of the class and quality of each of her parents. Jeff was an auto mechanic through and through. He loved racing and working on cars. He was a past motocross bike racer and worked on the J. C. Dubil Racing Team, loved the Hawkeyes, and watching the Cubs and NASCAR.
Jeffery is survived by his daughter, Kelly Jo, of Walcott, Iowa, his mother, Bernice Jannings of Davenport, Iowa; his sister, Dianna (Jeff) Fischlein of Lost Nation, Iowa; nephews, Marshall (Amy) Fischlein of Lost Nation, Iowa and Bryan (Kelly) Pesis and family of Battletown, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Cindy (Kirk) Sissel of Tipton, Iowa; and several aunts, uncles and cousins . He was preceded in death by his wife, Deb, on May 6, 2015 and his father, Richard Jannings in November 14, 2010.
