"My name is Steve Mulcock. I ride the RAGBRAI each year. In 2007 John, Hope and their wonderful kids were contemplating hosting a group in their home. John had just lost his job and they were strapped. At the last moment they decided to do it and volunteered. we were strapped too, without a place to camp. John and family not only took us in but they fed us BBQ pork and breakfast in the morning. The kids Jackson, Calista, Olivia & even Aiden helped us setup our tents. Our group is "The San Diego Zoo". (We are not part of the zoo) None of us will ever forget his, and their kindness. I was shocked to hear of his passing. I was just looking them up to give them a call to see how they were doing. God bless you Hope and the kids. He was truly a Saint. This will be in my heart forever!"

"Sorry for the loss of John I first met him at a bible study at the Allen house and thought he was a good guy. Even in sorrow you can rest that his current state is with the Lord 2nd Corinthians 5:8 According to Philippines 1:23 he is far better. Christ did everything necessary for your soul salvation and his. Only by trusting what Christ did for us at the cross. Romans 4:5,24-25 , 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 2nd Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. My prayer is that the gospel will be preached correctly many believe it. I shall see him again. Complete in Him Colossians 1:10 Doug Warwick "
