September 11, 1925 - June 20, 2017

Elmer Heck Jr., 91, of Webster City, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Michael Slininger officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Elmer Heck Jr., son of Elmer and May Beebe Heck, was born September 11, 1925, at Webster City. He married Mary Stell on August 25, 1946 in Webster City. He worked as a mechanic and later service manager for Russ Cress and other Chevy Dealers in Webster City until his retirement.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Mary of Webster City; grandchildren, Tony Heck and Jennifer Blair; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry "Butch" Heck; siblings, Verla Ferguson, Vesta Klooster, Leila Eggers, Loren Heck, Carl Heck, Earl Heck and John Heck.
Elmer was a gentleman in every sense of the word. After his retirement, Elmer never missed a morning coffee with his friends at McDonalds. He will be missed for his fun hearted statements by everyone who knew him.

"Elmer was one of the guys my dad enjoyed having coffee with. Dad died in 2010, but it was important to him to have coffee and discussion with the guys at McDonald's. Theirs was a great generation!! RIP, "
