MUSCATINE, Iowa - Cinthia Joy Lee, 68, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, in her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Cinthia was born on July 27, 1948, in Muscatine, the daughter of Ivan E. and Arlette Ruth Nelson Kranz. She married Richard Allen Lee on September 19, 1965, at the St. Mathias Church in Muscatine.
She framed for Red Paint Store for several years and later worked for the Muscatine School District.
Cinthia enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales, spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with her family, and traveling with her husband, Richard.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Richard Lee of Muscatine; her son, Mark Lee and significant other, Sheila Schuety, of Muscatine; her daughter, Chantel Lueth and husband, Brian, of Illinois City, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Alex, Allison, Ethan, Elaina, Brieanna, Brennon, and Graydon; six great grandchildren with one due in November; three siblings, Kenn Kranz and good friend, Annette Lohse, of Muscatine, Lesa Kranz and companion, Dave Schroeder, of Muscatine, Shelby Kranz and wife, Dawn, of Chicago, Illinois, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.

"I am so saddened to hear of Cindy's passing. We attended Muscatine School of Hair Design back in 1975. I spent almost everyday of that year with her. We had so many good times, Sometimes it was hard to keep a straight face when she was in the room. and she was always the reason we laughed! We didn't stay in constant contact, however every time I ran into her it was like we had never been apart! She told me of her grandchildren and I could tell she was a good grandma. (maybe a crazy grandma). I am so thankful to have had her be a part of my life because I will never forget what a positive inspiration she had always been. One spring day, I heard a car honking in my driveway, I went outside to find her and Kay Ruckles singing happy Birthday to me! After I figured out it was them, I said "Its not my birthday." Here, Cindy had heard on the radio that it was Debbie Taylors birthday so she called Kay, picked her up and they came to my house to surprise me. We had so many laughs and I think I had a better non-birthday present than the real birthday girl ! I did not know that Cindy was ill, I would have been a better friend and visited her. I am sure she knew how much she was loved. You have my sympathy and I pray STRENGTH and POSITIVITY as you go thru this difficult time. Debbie"
