Weslaco, TX - Ramona Ramirez, 73, passed away to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.  Mrs. Ramirez was born November 11, 1943 in Weslaco, TX to Julio & Virginia Martinez.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Guadalupe Martinez, Juan Martinez, Martiniano Martinez & 1 sister, Felicitas Abeldaño.  Mrs. Ramirez is survived by her husband, Horacio Ramirez of Weslaco, TX; her daughter, Sonia Rodriguez (Ruben) of Weslaco, TX; 2 grandsons, Esai Rodriguez & Matthew Rodriguez; 2 nieces & 1 nephew whom she raised, Maria Perez, Yoli Perez & Fernando Montalvo, Jr., all of Zeeland, MI; 3 sisters, Pascuala Caballero (Agustin, Sr.+), Margarita Montalvo (Fernando, Sr.+), Irene Alaniz (Manuel), all of Weslaco, TX & 3 brothers, Gregorio Martinez (Natividad), Faustino Martinez (Gavina) & Jose Martinez (Beatriz+), all of Weslaco, TX.  Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Angels with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of the Angels.  Officiating will be Rev. Francisco Santacruz.  Interment will follow at Weslaco City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Horacio Ramirez, Ruben Rodriguez, Esai Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez, Fernando Montalvo, Jr. & Jose Luis Perez.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Joe Perez.  Arrangements are under the direction of Guerra Funeral Home of Weslaco, Inc., 2602 N.
