In loving memory of

James B Mills
January 14, 1948 - July 2, 2017

James Benjamin Mills, 69, born in Kingston, departed this life on July 2, 2017. He was the beloved son of the late Benjamin Mills and Betty Perry Mills. He is survived by 2 siblings, a brother, Melvin H. Mills and a sister, Judge Miriam K. Mills, retired. He also leaves surviving a niece, Selena Mills, 2 grandnieces Aneesha and Zahria, and a nephew, Tech Sgt. Damien A. Mills, USAF, who is serving in the Air Force.
Whether he was known as James, Jimmy, or Mills, he was larger than life. Once, when he was standing next to his flashy car on Broadway of Kingston with a cowboy hat and boots on, James Gandolfini inquired as to what his celebrity status was. On the other hand, his niece received a free hotdog at a hotdog stand just because the proprietor found out she was related to Jimmy Mills - a sign that Jimmy had a host of friends that loved him.
Jimmy's affection for his toys didn't compare to the proportion of love that he had for his friends, which was very much reciprocated. He had many long-term relationships throughout his life. No matter his love for motorcycles, flashy cars, and boats, the biggest loves of his life were his friends and people in general - he could talk to and connect with anybody and everybody.
Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston. Friends may call on Monday from 4 - 7 pm. The service will be held at 7:00 PM.

"Mills passing has left a large void in mine and many others lives. When I first met him, he introduced me to over 129 people and that was just at Venetian Palms. We have remained great friends, and I will miss his calls, always ending in "thanks for being my friend, love you Boo, and tell Justin I love him too." My deepest condolences to his family and friends. His uniqueness will never be found in another. The memorial video reflects Mills so well-- his Friends and his Toys. I am honored to be a member of his elite circle that called him "Friend". It is still so hard to believe I will never see or talk to him again, but I know he is having a great time in Heaven. See you later, Mills. Donna and Justin Turton"

"The Mills and I go back to 7th grade. I bought my first car from him and Melvin. Talked to him about a week ago and he said he bought a boat.i told him he couldn't swim and a typical MILLS reply was " I know I can't swim , but I get into an airplane and I can't fly ". Here's hoping you are Flying With The Angels . To many memories to write now ! RIP."

"Have not quite processed the fact that Mills is no longer with us. To Mariam: Marilyn and I send our sincerely sympathy to you and your brother in the passing of your brother James. Spoke with him a week ago when he called to update his health concerns. Seemed positive and upbeat that day but couldn't convince him visiting us in Michigan until he felt better. We had many memorable times with him and was certainly a special person in our lives. He will greatly be missed by many friends at Venetian Palms and Kingston as well. Marilyn & Ron"
