Geraldine Dawson, age 84, of Berkeley Township, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ.
Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Dawson lived in Lyndhurst prior to moving to the Toms River area only 2 weeks ago. She was a parts operator for General Electric in North Bergen and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Dawson; son Joseph J. Dawson; parents John and Florence Castagnola and siblings Hazel, Pearl, Eleanor and Gerald. Surviving are her children Geraldine DiMaria and her husband Charles, Florence Dawson, Roseanne Pretto and her husband Eugene and Jeannie Paszkiel and her husband Gary; grandchildren Charles DiMaria and his wife Cara, Stephen and Joseph DiMaria, Heather Dempsey, Gina Nesbit and her husband Robert, Melissa and Danielle Pretto and Jennifer Lupo and her husband Adam; great grandchildren Nicholas, Tory, Luke, Jesse and Logan Burbank, Alyssa Lupo, Bobby and Sarah Nesbit and Louis and Ashlynn DiMaria; sister Charlotte Savarese; niece Maralyn Carrig and her husband Mark, and many other loving nieces and nephews.
Cremation was private and entrusted to Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
