" Judy and the Simpson family and loved ones of Jay have my deepest sympathy. Our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) promises us at Revelations 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalms 34:18 The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. "

Dr. & Mrs. Normand T. Townley wrote on Jul 7, 2017:

"Our thoughts are with Judy and Scott at this difficult time. We pray for God's comfort to them. We met Jay when he joined Cornerstone Lutheran a few years ago. We became good friends with Jay and Judy. It wasn't long into the friendship that we were made aware of Jay's passion for racing and his 64 consecutive years attending the 500. His knowledge and recollection of the 500 was noteworthy. Norm liked to pose trivial 500 questions to Jay. He usually knew the answer though the question might be addressing races in the 50's. What a joy to see his face light up with the answer. We will miss that, but are comforted to know that he is with the Lord."
