Bonnie R. Hunstad, 70, of Fort Dodge, formerly of Grafton, WI died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Simpson Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. A visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be a later date at Woodland Cemetery in Grafton, WI.
Bonnie is survived by her brothers, Ron (Sue) Blanchet of Fort Dodge and Jack (Paulette) Blanchet of Humboldt; and sisters, Jean (Paul) Erickson of Waterloo and Nancy (Rod) Howell of Johnston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eileen (Schall) Blanchet and her husband, Stan Hunstad.
Bonnie R. Blanchet was born October 15, 1946 in Fort Dodge. She was raised and educated in Gilmore City. She graduated from Gilmore City High School and then graduated from the University of Minnesota. In 1969, she was united in marriage to Stan Hunstad. The couple established their home in Grafton, WI. Stan passed away in 1987. Bonnie worked in the nursing field for 35 years, retiring from St. Joseph Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. She was an active member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Bonnie moved to Fort Dodge in December of 2013.
Memorials may be left to the Friendship Haven Foundation.
