Minerva Saldivar Ortiz, 75, a lifetime resident of Mercedes Texas. She was born September 18, 1941 to Tiberio and Arminda Leal Saldivar in Jimenez Mexico. She is survived by her loving family Children:: Jose Fidencio (Erika) Ortiz of La Feria,Texas, Joe (Jeni) Ortiz of Lake Stevens Washington,Jim (Sandra) Ortiz of Sunnyside Washington,Nora (Nasser) Basmeh of Yakima Washington.,Joyce (Noe) Saldivar of Mission Tx., 19 grandchildren, brothers and sisters:Olivia (Napoleon) Chavez of Washington, Rosa (David) Martinez of Pharr, Tx.,Hilda (Gerry) Shepard of Washington, Cricelda Saldivar, Tiberio (Leticia) Saldivar Jr. of Washington, Armando (Sylvia) Saldivar of Mercedes Tx., Mayra (Keith) Taylor of Washington and Abe Saldivar of California. She is preceded in death by her husband; Fidencio Ortiz and daughter Norma Ortiz. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 1:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. and on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 10:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. We will depart Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace at 9:30a.m. for a 10:00a.m. mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will then follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction and care of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Mercedes Texas.
