Betty Jane Morgan

Betty Jane Morgan, 96, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, at her residence.
She was born October 16, 1920, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Lambert J. Loyd and E. Katherine (Catlin) Loyd.
Betty was a graduate of Wiley High School in Terre Haute, Indiana and Indiana State University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Sorority of which she was president her senior year.
She taught school in Cape Girardeau, MO, Owensboro, KY, and was a substitute teacher in Muncie, Indiana for over fifteen years.
Betty was a member of the former Green Hills Country Club, and a member of Elks Golf and Country Club, where she played golf.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Acacia Chapter #46, Owensboro, Kentucky.
Betty's survivors include three children, Robert J. Morgan, Indianapolis, Indiana, Patricia A. Morgan, Muncie, Indiana, and William L. Morgan, wife, Marjorie, Muncie, Indiana; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Blodgett, Wilmington, Delaware and Rosemary Mace, Bradenton, Florida; seven nieces and eight nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, C. Richard Loyd, Sedgwick B. Loyd, Theodore R. Loyd, and L. Johnathan Loyd; one sister, Marjorie C. Loyd, two nieces, and one nephew.
Services will be Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304.
Visitation will be Thursday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
Entombment will immediately follow the service at Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions in Betty's honor may be made to the donor's choice.
