In loving memory of

Joshua David Allen Hall
November 15, 1976 - July 5, 2017

Joshua David Allen Hall, 40, of Burlington died at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Born November 15, 1976 in Iowa City, he was the son of Teri Jo Watson of North Liberty and David (Linda) Hall of Burlington. On July 1, 1999 he married Jennifer Corwin at the Open Bible Church in Burlington.
Joshua and Jennifer had three daughters, Samantha Marie Hall (Jay Applegate) age 24, Ayden Elizabeth "Belle" Hall age 16, and Naomi Ellen Hall age 14; one son, Caleb Joshua Hall age 12; and one granddaughter, Jaylee Marie Applegate. He had two sisters, Rebekah (Jason) Tjaden age 42 of Clarence, Iowa and Hannah (Joshua) Wever age 41 of Porter, Indiana; a brother, Timothy (Rachel) Watson age 38 of Burlington; step brother, Lance Dunblazier of Burlington; and his dog Daisy.
Joshua sustained a gunshot wound on June 26, 2017 that was self-inflicted, leaving him in serious critical condition for nine days before passing away.
In April of 2013 Joshua and Jennifer started their construction company Halls Concrete and More and owned and operated it independently up until his death. Joshua was a very hard worker and strived to provide for his family. Many who knew Joshua could tell you he was definitely no stranger to anyone. His beautiful smile and irresistible charm would leave a lasting impression on anyone's heart. He had a deep love for the Lord, however was man in the flesh. He was a human that made mistakes but was honest in his wrong doings. He studied the Bible and viewed the world according to the word. He enjoyed boxing and sports with his children and riding motorcycles. Joshua will always be remembered by how much he cared about his family, wife and children and for his pure and gentle heart. Joshua dealt with struggle, like many of us, that caused heartache yet, we believe he is now at rest without pain. He will be truly missed by everyone who had the chance to know him.
Joshua is proceeded in death by his paternal grandmother and maternal grandparents.
The memorial funeral service for Joshua will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 12th, at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Matt Yaley officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
According to Joshua's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.

"Just as this says Josh's smile left a lasting impression on my heart! Josh was in my daughter's class at North Hill School where I was also employed. When they were in 4th grade the PTA organized a play where Josh had the lead as the King! Stacey was the court jester! Our time at North Hill was so much fun and he made us laugh! Just a short time ago he saw Stacey and recited one of his lines from the play! Just as if it was yesterday! He has a very special place in our heart! Please know that I sincerely care and praying for your strength and comfort."
