"thanks all for the memories and photos, there is one there I've never seen before, of Faye and I when I was looks like in 8th grade. Also thanks Jeanne, Lisa and Theresa for the flowers. Faye was a lot of fun and I'll miss her greatly, so strange to think I can't just go pick her up for a ride. "

Jeanne Sill wrote on Jul 11, 2017:

"Jeanne Sill Aunt Faye was a woman who defined how she would live. Each day was filled with gratitude, wonder, and a physical strength that stayed with her always. She taught me to laugh when I made mistakes, to sing back to the birds and to definitely hate squirrels (although I don't shoot them with a beebie gun!) She always greeted you with the biggest smile and the strongest hug. I love you always Aunt Faye and am a better person because of you..."

"Aunt Faye is one of those people that leaves an impression on you. She was always witty, funny, and seem to be "hip" about a lot of things...with a sprinkle of attitude. I think my dad and the rest of us kids got our sense of humor from her. One of my memories of Aunt Faye was when she was still living in the A-Frame on our land with Grandma Ella. She was always doing something outdoors like working in her garden or out on the land with Shane, her German Sheppard...and whenever she came in to eat lunch or dinner, her hands would always be covered in dirt. I remember asking her why she never washed her hands. She said, "Ohhh Jimmy... a little dirt never hurt no one," and then laughed. I do not remember exactly what she said next since I was 6 or 7 at the time, but she said something along the lines that we came from the dirt and someday we'll go back and that's how God made us. It was her unique laughter that always stuck out to me. When I picture various people in my life, I can imagine what they would say or do...I would remember their idiosyncrasies or traits that remind me of them. With Aunt Faye, all I would do is remember her face...and I would see her smile and hear her laughter. Now you are in heaven with dad, Grandpa Jim, Grandma Marge, Grandma Ella, Grandpa Jack, Uncle Lloyd, Aunt Betty, and Uncle Pat. You will be missed and always loved. Rest in peace Aunt Faye. "

"Faye taught us all to smile when a bird sang, a butterfly spread its wings and a wild flower blossomed. I will miss her mischievous laughter and her friendship. God speed my friend. Judi Gjelsten"
