"I only heard today about Priyaa's passing, and I am still in shock. She joined the company I worked for as the head of our product organization - therefore my boss - and as a senior person who would be reporting to her, I was asked to interview her. The evaluation criteria were complex, and I am an analytic person: my report consisted of the words "MUST HIRE" because her warmth and intelligence were genuine and shined through her - I should point out that "warmth" and "genuine" are not words commonly used to describe a high-powered executive brought in from Goldman. She truly put people first and strove to be kind and fair even when going throught the ups and downs of the Financial industry in the aftermath of 2008. Here is a story I can now tell the world, that lets the world know what kind of person Priyaa was: I was once in a meeting, after a couple of years that had been financially rough for our company, and I accidentally saw some documents and numbers I wasn't supposed to see. What I saw was that for the several years I could see, Priyaa had foregone getting raises and other pay for herself and allocated it to the people on her team instead. She was a person who embraced the wisdom that the meaning of our lives arises from the goodness we do for others. I am shocked and saddened by her passing, but I will carry her memory, and strive to live as a good example of human caring, as she did. - WAT"

"I still can't believe it. I spoke with her a few weeks ago. We were planning to do the whole cook off together for Onam festival at my place. Had even picked up an off white sari for her. My prayers are with her family. May she rest in peace. She was truly a wonderful person. She will be missed deeply. "

"I was a personal trainer and friend of Priyaa while she was in NJ. She always spoke of how happy she was with her family and traveling the world. I can vividly remember when she told me she was moving to San Fran. I was happy for her but sad to lose someone so very sweet. She will be missed."

"Shocking- cannot express in words what I feel. What a wonderful and cheerful person. Will always remain in our hearts as someone very dear. Wish I had accepted your many an invitation to visit you in SFO. Remember very fondly the breakfast at the Indian Street in NJ. And the times spent with you in NJ. "
