"Dear Laura, Marissa and Kat. So very sorry for your loss. Your mother was very sweet and loving. When I would see her she would speak about her girls. She was so proud of you all. You were the center of your mother's universe. Please take care of each other. My deepest sympathy. Love, Mrs. Martinez (Kerhonkson Elementary School)"

"Dear Laura, Kat, and Marissa you were the love of your mom's life and meant the world to her! I had the honor of knowing and working with your mom at the Worker Justice Center-I worked in the Rochester office, I coordinate WJCNY's Domestic and Sexual Violence Program. Your mom and I exchanged numerous text messages and phone calls and our first hour would always be full of conversation about our children and how much we love them and any new updates we shared. You all were her shining star-her amazing daughters, that she loved so much! I only knew your mom for a year and a few months, but during that time she became one of my best friends and someone I could always count on and loved dearly! The heart your mom had for others is a rare gift to all the people who had the privilege of knowing her. Your mom will be greatly missed and I am so sorry for your loss! Much love, Cheryl"
