"Damchik family, I need to tell you how sad I was to read that your dad had passed away. I really appreciated getting to know you when your mother died and considered your dad a friend. Please accept my sympathy and know that I am thinking of you today as you say farewell to your dad. Tim Tarmann "
"On behalf of the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, we give thanks for Dick's military service to our nation in the Marine Corps."
"So sad and sorry to hear about my brother's death. Condolences to all his children, and other family. I am sad that I was not able to see my brother for several years, but I did call him often - he being 8 years older than me kept us far apart then and since I live in Washington state for the last 53 years I am happy that I just talked with him the week before his death. May God rest his soul in peace and all the family calm and peace on Dick's death. Love and peace to all of you. Fay Damchik Frost (sister-Spokane, Washington)"
