Janice M. Brink, 80, of Lakeside and formerly of Denison and Arion passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Chaplin Jeremy Hatley officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Kim (Charles) Heck of Fort Dodge; step-son, Eddy (Linda) Brink of Arion; grandchildren; Jeremy Mosley of Lakeside; Zach (Ashley) Heck of Fort Dodge; Anthony Heck of Duncombe; step-grandson, Kody; two great-grandchildren, Clara and William and sister-in-law, Sherl Soper of Boulder, CO.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Augusta (Wellner) Soper; husband; siblings, DeWayne Soper; Alan Soper; Pauline Iwen and Herman Henkel.
Janice Marie Soper was born March 1, 1937 in Charter Oak. She attended the Charter Oak-Ute Schools. On October 27, 1956, she was united in marriage to Clarence "Swede" Brink. The couple first established their home in Denison and later moved to Arion in 1978. Janice was a homemaker and cleaned homes for over 50 years. In 1987, Clarence passed away and Janice continued to live in Arion. In 1997, Janice moved to Lakeside near Storm Lake.
Janice adored her grandchildren. She loved being outside. She walked her dogs and even would walk up to 18 miles in one day.
Memorials may be left to discretion of the family.
