Larry Dean Terhufen, 82, of La Habra, CA passed away Sunday July 9, 2017. He was born on December 26, 1934 in Mason City, Iowa to Louie Henry Terhufen and Lora Elizabeth (Bell) Terhufen. On January 21, 1956, Larry married Katherine Hollingsworth at the First Baptist Church in Mason City.
Larry graduated from Mason City High School in 1952. He served in the Army for two years as a Medic. He graduated from California State University Long Beach and was employed by Northrop Grumman Corp. in the capacity of Senior Aeronautical Engineer in Quality Control.
He was a member of The Society of The Cincinnati and Society of Descendants of the Founders of Hartford. He and his wife, Katherine, were World Travelers and they both loved Ballroom dancing.
Larry is survived by his wife, Katherine (Kay), and his daughter, Kellie Terhufen.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louie and Lora, and sisters Muriel Elaine Torrock and Jean Bell Nilsen.
Larry will be laid to rest in the Allison Cemetery in Allison, Iowa.
