In loving memory of

Charlotte J. Gullick
July 28, 1925 - July 13, 2017

Oregon - Charlotte J. Gullick, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at UW Hospital. She was born on July 28, 1925 to Oscar and Ida (Hanold) Heine in Grunberg, Germany. After coming through Ellis Island, Charlotte attended Custer High School in Milwaukee. After graduating, her family relocated to Sauk City where Charlotte worked at Badger Ordinance. Charlotte was united in marriage to Stansmore Gullick, the love of her life, on September 9, 1950 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison. She was proud of how she and Stan worked together to build a life for their family. Charlotte loved gardening, baking banana bread, driving the kids around and being at every activity and sporting event. She loved to spend time with Stan at their cabin and land in Clyde, Wisconsin. Charlotte was proudest of her children and being "Grams" to her grandchildren. After Stan passed away, she appreciated the friendship of friends, Gretchen and John.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Rick (Pauline) Gullick, Stephen "Stan" (Jean) Gullick, and Stacy (Randy) Haldeman; her grandchildren, Nick (Brooke) Gullick, Nathan (Jaime) Gullick, Spencer (Carly) Gullick, Stuart (Jackie) Gullick, Alexia (JD) Szabo and Morgan Szabo; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Max, Sienna, Carter and Hayes; and her sister, Joan "Hanang" (Lloyd) Meyer. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Markins and Charlotte (Irving) Baker; brother-in-law, Caryl Harris; and mother-in-law, Clara Gullick.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Private family services will be held with burial at Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family would like to thank Danielle Kuhl and the staff at Sienna Crest for the outstanding care and love they gave to our mom during these past months, as well as Dr. Heifner for his care and compassion for Mom over the years.

Schlaf Gesund!

To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me,
My beloved children: Rick, Steve and Stacy; and Grandchildren.

When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it's time I traveled on alone.

So grieve a while for me if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
Fore it's only for a while that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come,
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear,
All of my love around you soft and clear.

And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet your with a smile and "Welcome Home."

"Mom"

"I am sorry for your loss and send my heartfelt condolences. We lived next door to the Gullicks on Devolis Parkway in Madison until we moved away when i was in 6th grade. I remember Charlotte being so kind and caring. She was a wonderful friend to my mother (Ruth) and a wonderful neighbor in every way. I pray you find comfort sharing memories of Charlotte with family and friends. Janice (Pertzborn) Faga"
