Glenn D. Tobias, Jr.
November 24, 1923 - July 15, 2017

Glenn Dewey Tobias, Jr., husband, father, friend, and mentor, 93, of Indianapolis, passed gently and peacefully on July 15, 2017. He was born in Huntington, Indiana on November 24, 1923 to the late Glenn Sr. and Anna (Sundermann)Tobias. Glenn Jr. was a graduate of Huntington High School and Purdue University. After college, Glenn enlisted in the U.S. Navy, attended officer training school at Notre Dame University after which he proudly served our country as a Lieutenant in WWII and the Korean War.

Glenn had a successful career as an executive in manufacturing/industrial products with many companies including, General Electric Co., Reliance Electric, and FMC Link-Belt. He was a former member of the Corporate Community Council, of Indpls., president of the American Gear Manufacturers Association, Board of Directors, Indiana Manufacturing Assoc., Board of Directors, Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Indiana Economic Development Corporation, as well as the Service Corp. of Retired Executives (SCORE), and Executive Service Corporation (ESC).

Glenn married the love of his life, the late Pauline M. O'Brien on April 28, 1951; together they had three sons, Brian, Keith, and Michael Tobias.

At Glenn's request, a private Memorial Service was held at Leppert Mortuary, 740 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.

Memorial donations can be made in Glenn's name to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Assn.
