MUSCATINE - Norman E. Anderson, 92, of Muscatine passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Lutheran Living in Muscatine.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Chaplain Susan Bantz, of Lutheran Living, will officiate. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Providence Baptist Church.

Norman was born on August 15, 1924, near Coal Valley, Illinois, the son of Fred A. and Edith M. Seitz Anderson. He married Ruth W. Fischer on November 25, 1955, at Providence Baptist Church, Drury Township.
In his earlier years, he farmed in the Taylor Ridge, Drury Township and Reynolds, Illinois areas. He later worked for Heinz Co., Muscatine, Iowa for 20 years. He retired because of his health.
Norman enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, freezing and baking.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Ruth W. Anderson, of Muscatine; two sisters, Evelyn Hessman, of Taylor Ridge, Illinois and Karen Martin, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister, Delores, three brothers, Harold, Virgil and Wayne Anderson.
