"My thoughts and prayers are with Don's family. I learned of his passing from my neighbor Karen Vick, here on Ward Avenue in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Don and his Mother were our wonderful neighbors, and were missed when they were no longer with us. Don made our world happier with his broad, sincere smile, and greetings. When I would talk with him on a beautiful day he would say, " I ordered this beautiful day just for you". :) What a wonderful man. God blessed all of us with Don. "

"I remember talking to Don almost everyday on his walks. "Hello. How's the family?" We chatted about this and that. What a kind soul. Always ended with "Thanks for talking to me." And always, a huge smile. RIP Don. You will be missed."
