Jennie Emberson Blaha
March 27, 1931 - July 19, 2017

Jennie Emberson Blaha, 86, of St. Remy, passed peacefully Wednesday morning, July 19, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 27, 1931 in St. Remy, the daughter of the late Carson and Inez Flowers Emberson. She was the wife of Joseph H. Blaha; they wed on July 22, 1951.

Jennie was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1948 and then graduated from Moran School of Business. For many years she had worked for Hercules Inc. of Port Ewen and had also drove school bus for Ethan Allen.

Jennie was a faithful member of the St. Remy Reformed Church, she was in the Ladies Auxiliary of the St. Remy Fire Department, was active in the Republican Party, and a great supporter of her children's grandchildren's and great grandchildren's projects and events

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Deborah J Gorman and her husband James of Gansevoort, Frank J Blaha and his wife Doris of Ulster Park, Robert T Blaha of Harleysville, PA, her grandchildren James, Meaghan, Marissa, Colin, Cassandra, great grandchildren Mariandra, Maygan, Marcas and Luke and a brother Robert Emberson and his wife Irene of Port Ewen

She was predeceased by a son Joseph Blaha and her siblings Pearl Richers, William Emberson, Frank Emberson, Charles Emberson, Carson Emberson, Jr. and Doris Meyer

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen. The family will receive their friends and family on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. The service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am, Rev. Dr. David M. Brechter, officiating. Burial in St. Remy Rural Cemetery, St. Remy.
